I love the dedication to not understanding regional dialects. There's a town on the other side of Binghamton from where Nick grew up called Appalachian pronounced by everyone there just like he does. Northern Appalachian and central/southern Appalachian have different accents since mountains support linguistic isolation. Nick speaks northern Appalachian, like the rest of PA, the southern tier of NY, and bits of Ohio.
