It took way too long for me to get the joke from that scene. Like yearsโ€ฆ.. I was just too flabbergasted by it to really think about it too hard, but I gave the film a rewatch for some reason and it hit meโ€ฆ..Ape Lincoln ๐Ÿคฆโ€โ™‚๏ธ๐Ÿคฃ

Adrian Toomey wasn't released because he's not from that universe. He was released because he didn't commit any crimes there. I'm ready to bet everything the first 5 minutes of Spider-Man homecoming took place in Morbius's universe. That explains the still unexplained 8 years later in which Spider-Man and half the universe should be dust in the wind by then. What happened after that is anyone's guess Adrian messing with all that alien equipment sent him to the 616 somehow is my guess. But Fantastic! Four first steps prooved different universes happened in different years so Morbius would be a few years ahead of the 616. And that would definitely explain why Doctor Strange's spell sent another person who knew Spider-Man was Peter Parker back to his own universe which he reacted to with "Hope the food's better in this joint?"

Iโ€™ve got a theory that Vultures in the Morbius universe during the events of NWH. Because heโ€™s an anomaly, like the others from Across the spider verse, he will eventually return to the MCU. I think when he does he will remember who Peter is, since he wasnโ€™t in the right universe when Dr. Strange cast the forgetting spells
