Taking a look at the book “100 Deadly Skills” written by former Navy Seal, Clint Emerson. This video looks at skills 31 to 40, although I have a tendency to ramble about completely unrelated things that have happened to me throughout life.

“You will learn how to escape a locked trunk, make an improvised Taser, trick facial recognition software, prevent tracking, evade a kidnapping, elude an active shooter, rappel down the side of a building, immobilize a bad guy, protect yourself against cyber-criminals, and much more — all using low-tech to “no-tech” methods.”

Two videos in the same series where he doesn't know about tow straps. I mean no disrespect, everyone has blind spots. But are tow straps not found in Ireland? Surely we yanks have more of them, (because we're medically incapable of owning a vehicle that can't tow another vehicle) but they must be ubiquitous in the freight industry, and then developed a secondary market with consumers?

Fuck me, I sound like a capitalist.

Yeah, but even if you discreetly lose a tail, that pretty much lets them know that you know, because how would an innocent person just out for a stroll be able to lose a professional surveillance team?

I drove for Lyft, I had to live in the car I rented through them in a nearby city cuz, lyft is an idiotic nightmare company… I made 30$ one week! Less than the cost of gas
well, I saw a crazy driver.. I decided to follow them. "What are they doing? I wanna know!" Anyway, they sped like CRAZY. They ended up, going to home depot.. parking.. it was, beyond amazing… I thought like "They're going to a hospital, or there is some serious emergency!!" Nah. I didn't follow them into the store cuz that'd be weird. Didn't even get a look at them; I thought that'd be rude? A violation. Still, that's the only experience I have in surveillance I think? Besides, obviously, being surveilled…

"You don't need your ID, the cameras recognize ya!" "Oh… I don't like that…"

I used to trash my room before leaving on long trips, making sure to leave my game ms and my expensive shit at bros places and what not but I trashed my room simply to make it hard for anyone to look around in there while I’m gone. Like I mean trash. A good foot of random shit covering the floor is a good deterrent to anyone looking to get into and through your shit. Basically make it impossible for them to find somewhere to even start. Bonus if you set traps and wedge your closet door and then bury the area with books and clothes. Ain’t no one about to fuck around in 2 and a half feet of some random person stuff ti get into a closet. Even if they did, I left dirty laundry in there most of the time. One time we actually had some goof break in while we were gone. Every room in the house was gone through except mine. They opened the door, moved a few things and gave up.

The roll of coins is pretty good. But I came to that conclusion at 11 years old on my own. And I’m not a brilliant guy. Not near as many people have rolls of coins laying around nowadays. And even less as time goes on. Using it to enhance your fists is a good idea. But the roll in a sock is deadly. Either way you’d have to wrap them in duct tape unless you want them to shatter on impact. These are cool ideas. Super old school too. Simple is better a lot of the time. Heck, a piece of tape left on a door took down a President of the United States.

4:16 well imagine if someone in front of you happened to think you were following them while you suspect someone else if following you and you do this maneuver inadvertently "proving" to the person ahead of you that you're following them.

To be fair, the chroma key (protections word: for green screen, or blue if using chemical film) actually worked better than I would have expected, given the poor lighting. Though, it does look to have been improved later in the video 🙂

One tip I remember from an early Bond film is to take a piece of your own hair, lick it and place it across a door or something you suspect might be opened. If the hair is moved, then someone was probably there

Can confirm the infrared light trick with camera film actually works. I've done it. & it'll also work it you put a strip or two layered over your phone camera on a bright sunny day. You can see in infrared light too

I can attest from personal experience that when you hit some one with a roll of coins in your fist the roll explodes at both ends. Even if you tape the thing up it will still explode. The guy said he never had been hit that hard in his life and at first he thought he won the jackpot! <—- True Story

I stand by my original thoughts from the 1st video.. nobody who made it though seals training would think roll of coins and nails is an effective weapon. If you have the fucking time to get a roll of coins and jam nails into it, you can use that roll of coins to buy a better weapon. If you hit someone with that, that coin roll is going to split and you'll likely fracture some fingers. Fuckin stupid suggestion.

Edit: just looked it up, apparently he was, but then again Russle Williams was just as prolific.
