I have two kids and I absolutely adore them and enjoy raising them. It takes a lot of patience, thoughtfulness and commitment. It is definitely not for everyone though. If you don’t want kids or don’t want to take responsibility raising kids then it’s better that you don’t have them.

Just like they don't just let anyone work as a teacher, lawyer or doctor, not just anyone is qualified to be a parent. It's a huge responsibility that requires decades of selfless service and sacrifice. Not everyone can do it without (accidentally?) raising a school shooter or a sexual predator. It's pretty normal to not be qualified.

There’s going to be a lot of people in the comments who had kids when they shouldn’t have or didn’t want to, and instead of admitting they regret it they’re going to spin it as if the child free are missing out. People are allowed to have self-actualization without children and they are allowed to change their mind on that as well. Doesn’t mean that you have to project your own delusions.

Told every guy I ever dated that I hate kids from the start. It's never happening I am not reproducing and then we date for a while and I get dumped with the excuse that they might actually want kids. It was interesting in my 20s to say the least.

I told my husband I wasn't going to have kids. They are my gift and love letter to my husband because they are not for me. I am not a baby person. I'm not a toddler person. I have a long way to go before they move out.
