6:19 "Population decline doesn't lead to prosperity. It's peoples ideas and work that create our prosperity."

I'm with you that population decline doesn't automatically lead to prosperity. But, the opposite is true: overpopulation does lead to poverty. And this can be explained quite well if you start to really understand that earths resources are limited. There is only so much space to grow crops, only so much drinking water, only so much oil, only so much rare earth elements and only so much opportunities to generate electricity. And as long as humans are unable to make other planets or space habitable, there is a natural boundry to how many people earth can handle before life gets worse for everyone. It's basically just a giant petri dish.

Reliable birth control and women having the financial freedom and educational opportunities to be more than breeding machines and forced to marry in order to eat, live in a house, and survive. Our drive is to have sex, not necessarily to reproduce. Now we can have sex and choose whether or not we want to reproduce.

The absolute panic that the US population might shrink to 250 million is amusing. That is where we were in the late 1970s. And it was a fairly awesome time to live. I was a child and I could run around all day with my friends and as long as we came home when the streetlights came on it was fine with the parents. We had so much freedom. Schools were very good. Less crime. Just easier living. I think we have too many people for our institutions to handle.

Its nature fighting back, balancing out, we are WAY TOO MANY people ont his planet as it is NOW, so this just benefits the planet…since mannkind are a parasittic egoistic disease really…certain cultures and regiojns breed like mad even if they dont have enough food or shelter! its globally people get several children despite not being able to take care of them, and it worse for the chidlren! having kids is NOT A HUMAN RIGHT

I chose not to have a child because I don’t have the time, money, resources, patience, and/or desire to have one.

They also make climate change worse by bringing more consumers into existence.

I'm a South Korean student. In our county, so many problems spread out anywhere. In everyday, many issues are concerned. Of course, in there, many society issues also include. In this situation, I think our lowest birth rate is not surprising.😢😢😢

Nobody has the time or money to have kids. Stop giving 95% of the world's money to 5% of the world's population, cut the work week down to 20 hours (and pay enough that 20 hours is a livable, full time wage) and the population will explode.

Some geniuses decided to make a system where humans in their most reproductive years go through the most stress in terms of education, finding a career that actually pays off, and independent living oh and we ditched the courtship/social system that worked in the past for modern dating which sucks

My work shift is 10 hours a day, starting before my kids go to school and ending after they get out. I have to PAY not just for school and supplies and lunches, but for before and after care at said school and a nanny to drive my kids there because I’m already at work by the time even their early care begins. The world punishes people for daring to have children and then we wonder why more people don’t do it…

We need a video? , Its obvious why, Traditional families where the man works and women is homemaker has been penalized since the 70's I get taxed as if my wife makes the same thing, So I pay an extra $30,000 taxes I shouldn't per year! Big business wants this, Wage stagnation designed just as when they imported 30,000 skilled labour in 2022, causing a recession in the tech market in Australia, 1000 applicants per job, Same bastards lobbying the government to wage stagnate Australians. Punish traditional families, force women into the workforce , Lie to them they can easily do the same jobs as men but 50 years of free agency has demonstrated women mostly like womens jobs. Today is the hardest time in history to raise children and big businesses manipulation of feminism and the deranged feminists themselves will continue to try to jam a star shape into a circle hole and declare everything fine. Mothers can't raise children and work a FT job, its bullshit.
