What Sex Was Like For British Royals
The sex lives of kings and queens have been the subject of scrutiny and scandal for centuries. The Tudor period alone runs the gamut, from the highly sexualized court of Henry VIII to that of his daughter, the “Virgin Queen,” Elizabeth I. Extramarital relations at the British court was accepted – or even encouraged – by some monarchs, but it was punished severely by others.

Victoria's view of sex and marriage was biblically perfect. God would like all his people to enjoy great sex with their spouse. It isn't peculiar that Victoria should enjoy passion with her husband while condemning homosexual sex. That's exactly how God sees it too. So, weird history, you're wrong to say that made Victoria weird.

Victoria has George's eyes. I never noticed before. And that trait continues in the current generations. As someone who is adopted, familial traits that extend through generations is fascinating to me.

Queen Victoria is no longer the longest reigning monarch in British history (nor the longest reigning queen). She reigned for 63 years, seven months and two days. Queen Elizabeth II surpassed her, reigning for 70 years and 214 days, becoming not only the longest reigning monarch (and queen) in British history, but the second longest in European history (only Louis XIV reigned for longer, 72 years)
