Maybe look into studies which clearly associated low salt and increased mortality. Actually there are several studies state low sodium is not, as in not recommended for otherwise healthy and not for elderly. Of coarse these are studies from the 21st century as opposed to your references which are from the last century.

According to a Harvard study, our hunter gatherer ancestors used to consume 16 times more potassium than sodium. Sodium intake was very negligible.

Salt and hypertension myth has been debunked hahahaha. Even my medical books say cause of hypertension is unknown (it's not salt). Its doctor's dogma based on bad science.

Here’s a fun fact… If you cut carbohydrates completely out of your diet you can consume quadruple the recommended daily dose of salt in your blood pressure will not go up nor will you have excess fluid retention

Sodium is life. Check out Dr. James DiNicolantonio or David Brownstein, MD. Of course everything in moderation but 1,5gr is way too little.

Of course, this video makes NO MENTION OF EXCESS PROCESSED CARBOHYDRATE CONSUMPTION RAISING BLOOD PRESSURE by water moving osmotically from cells to blood (dehydrating cells in the same way water moves to a higher concentration of sodium in the blood) to dilute glucose levels in the blood and push the excess (toxic) glucose out via urine. It's one of the body's primary functions … to remove excess glucose from our blood (into cells of we're not insulin resistant; into into urine, as much as it can; then into fat in the form of triglycerides if we ARE insulin resistant and consuming more than our kidneys can filter excrete into urine).

I had to get a potassium infusion. It was horribly painful. I had high lactid acid and low potassium. This was from medications.

Your video is behind time, salt is way of life, our body is similar to sea water salt content. Medium to high salt is way better than low or no salt diet.

Even in my 20s bringing sodium down to 1500mg/day caused a miraculous change in mood and weight. Im confused though, because even videos like this dont describe my experience.

Not sure why this video is being attacked. Salt is definitely a problem processed foods are filled with it. The average person is not eating unprocessed food.

This video confuses a salt-free diet with a sodium-free diet. Salt is not the only source of sodium. It occurs naturally in vegetables. You could eat zero salt and still get enough sodium by eating reasonable amounts of vegetables that are relatively high in sodium. Boiled beet greens have 347 mg per cup. The same amount of chard has 313 mg. Broccoli: 64 mg. A cup of diced celery has 136.5 mg. For most people, 500 mg a day is plenty.

Sodium intake is only dangerous for those who have not learned that eating processed carbs creates systemic inflammation. I’m living proof that salt intake is not only safe but crucial for those who have dumped the processed carbs.
I put salt on almost everything and my BP is normal and I’m now off a all meds.
Dump carbs, not salt.
