Quants are basically data scientists with a new name they build pipelines, work with time series, also build models on the stocks which are already manipulated by their hedge funds before hand thru insider trading

So what's the most effective strategy during this period of volatility with the rate cut? Most of my portfolio is in (20% Index funds, 20% CD's 30% Bonds/T-bills and other assets) I want to explore different strategies to benefit from a potential bubble.

quant hedge funds are fake. they make their money by front-running customers. with a rare obvious arbitrage now and then. nothing else. the code and math are all a Red Herring. no wonder they are secretive.

I'm a risk quant in a top tier IB. Another point to mention is that there are a lot of different types of quants. Buy side, sell side, high frequency, low frequency, pricing, risk, assets allocation, hedging strategy, and model validation etc. The nature (and pay) are very different.
