Voxtrot – Cut From the Stone: B-Sides & Rarities – ALBUM REVIEW
Andy from the FensePost Indie Music & Vinyl Blog looks at Cut From the Stone: B-Sides & Rarities by Voxtrot on Cult Hero Records. He talks a little about why this album stands out, highlighting some key tracks. With this 2022 release, Voxtrot made some of their rarest B-Sides more accessible to the masses, including “Dirty Version” (the B-Side to the Start of Something) and “Warmest Part of the Winter” (the B-Side to Raised by Wolves). The album also features a few demos and four tracks that he hadn’t heard!
CORRECTION: In the video, I highlight “The Warmest Part of the Winter” as being the B-Side to “Raised by Wolves” when in fact it’s from a Darla Records compilation. The B-Side to “Raised By Wolves” is actually “They Never Mean What They Say” which is not included on this compilation.
Finally, Andy unboxes his copy, which is the first pressing on black vinyl. Cut From the Stone has had two pressings. The first, on black vinyl, was limited to 500 copies and is sold out. The second, on pink wax, still has copies available on Voxtrot’s bandcamp page.
