I had no clue that the "Daddy, would you like some sausage?" bit was from Tom Green. My parents referenced it echolalically nearly every day when I was a kid, and it entered the family lexicon of things-to-repeat. I assumed it was from a Die Antwerp song I couldn't find. Now I know, and thank god.

'07 friend here, Tom Green was not a 4chan target before Hal Turner. Also, Tom had 3 seasons on the Comedy Network in Canada and had "made it" as a celebrity in Canada before moving to MTV.

4Chan is funny. Tom Green never was. Hope that makes it all make sense. He wasn't influential. He was shoved down our throats ad nauseam, and MTV tried its damndest to make us think he was funny.

Tom's biography "Hollywood causes cancer" said he was wondering if decades after the film was released people would look back at it as art and he as usual was ahead of everyone. I saw it on HBO when I was 13 and laughed but even then I couldn't believe it got made and now I think it's refreshing compared to what passes as comedy these days.

I don't know where the Logan Paul comparison comes from. Tom Green's style of comedy is basically proto anti-humor. The same kind of humor that adult swim eventually built itself around. He was basically Adult Swim before Adult Swim. So if any comparison were to be made, it would be that, not Logan Paul.

They called me Tom Blue Green in high school when he was out. Once, I had to come up with a dance in gym and started playing the Bum Bum Song when it had just come out and was rubbing my ass on things and got kicked out of that part of the class or whatever and in trouble. I think that's when I got that nickname. I also was a 4chan troll fucking with his show back then, shit was hilarious.
