I love this content and I’m an astronomy hobbyist. I truly wish that the human civilization could grow for the better. I could only imagine how much more rapidly our science could improve if we didn’t waste astronomical amounts of money on war.

It's silly to think that Space X or any private company will embark on any of these ventures, but besides that, it's a fun fantasy. None of this will happen though. We're gonna cook ourselves before any of this comes to fruition.

Great theory but everyone here posting will not be alive to see it. Pretty sure we will get close but colonizing mars will take decades while society on earth goes back to the stone age once again.

If we do not control carbon emission, use of fossil fuel, creating pollution, changing climate, killing animals and live stocks, doing all kind of things against nature….. then our DAYS ARE NUMBERED. Mother nature is giving enough warning, but we are busy buying ACs, and not planting trees. If needed, NATURE won't mind ANNIHILATING selfish, noncontributing HUMAN species, as she has to look after other millions of species living on this planet.

Slow down! Some of the ideas described might not happen for another 200 years, not a mere 50! You cannot ignore all the other problems of life on Earth, the unavoidable politics that will arise in space (like the Expanse) and the fact that all the hypothetical technologies described may never exist, but hey, we don't know yet do we.

Stop for a moment and imagine something. What if it was 100 years ago…. and we have the technology we have right now, with AI on the brink of taking over…..Would AI have control of hyper pace travel at this point ? Once we can push through time at the speed of light we'll enjoy the whole Milky Way.

Unless anyone builds a (STARBASE/STATION) where we can build an actual warp capable ship. The whole idea of multi planetary advancement is a real waste of time.
Fighting earths gravity and wasting resources and energy is a foolish notion. Having a direct and full energy shot at planetary travel is a faster, smarter and eventually cheaper alternative.
