The christmas vibes are already back

One time i found a weird nutcracker retelling in a thrift store young adult book section as a middle schooler, and i thought it sounded really cool. I remember that Clara was an adult woman, the daughter of the mayor, expected to wear pretty clothes in public but she secretly did fighting training w/ her godfather in…sexy fighting clothes? Idk some evil weirdo came in during sparring and started ogling her. (Side note: that evil weirdo was some sort of evil doctor that did horrible things to girls. He really wanted to marry clara. I never got far enough into the book to see if he was an antagonist or not.) She was a classic ya nlog "i hate dresses" girl. Anyway, the nutcracker was also a full grown man, but was instead a naked statue that she was lusting over to an uncomfortable degree. So he comes to life and theyre transported to his world where he explains that the Fay took over. He needs to take back his country. So they go to this fay-run "pleasure house" on the wsy to palace to get passage or whatever. Once they met the owner, he wants them to "preform" because he thinks theyre new "workers" so they (clara and Nutcracker statue man) "preform" for him. It wasnt outright smut but it was enough for church going God loving middleschool me to close the book and re-donate it.
