Transplants were formed in 1999 by Tim Armstrong—legendary frontman of Rancid and Operation Ivy. What began as a side project quickly grew into something much bigger with Travis Barker (Blink-182) and Rob Aston (Skinhead Rob).

First album was great. Haunted cities was poor. They got progressively worse. Original lineup with Craig on guitar was the best.

TIm gave a lot of the rights of the songs to Rob because he didn't have the ability to tour like Tim did. That's why the songs are in commercials. I've heard people call him a sell out because of this and its not true. When Rancid comes through Toronto where I live they play 4 sold out shows in a reasonably sized venue so everyone has the oppertunity to see them up close. That is not sell out behavior.
