Tere's a Scottish stand-up Jerry Sadowtz whose stuff is all but impossible to find online. I think there are a few albums which occasionally get uploaded and taken down withing hours or days and some bootleg lives which seem to go just as quickly.

It's a terrible shame because buying the actual albums would require selling a kidney and his comedy is not only anarchic & expletove ridden to a divine degree but his brutal honesty and his consistent call outs of controversial mainstream instiutions and individuals was so spot on. Often with crimes which weren't proved till decades after he said it. He's like a sweary hilarious sage you've met in a Glasgow pub.

The first one reminds me of an internet hoax I created on 4chan's paranormal board back in 2009, which talked about a video called "The Grifter" that was said to be so disturbing that if you ever saw it it would change something in you. For the next few weeks, I watched the entire board make grifter threads, embellish their own details about what the video entailed, and I even saw people fight tooth and nail to claim that it was real while disparaging skeptics. It ended up being an eye-opening social experiment from my perspective, knowing full well that it was entirely fabricated. Eventually they figured out where that I had sourced my images from a little-known Czech surrealist filmmaker and the jig was mostly up. By that point my ego got the best of me and I admitted to making the whole thing up. That was 15 years ago, but sometimes if you go on that board, there are still people who make reference to it even if only as a joke, but that was probably one of my most successful memes… or at least the most successful one I can tell you about that isn't particularly problematic, lol

I think the reason for why 80s nostalgia is so much more pervasive and common than 90s nostalgia is because it is so much harder to find media from the 80s.
Of course the big stuff like classical 80s movies and top 100 songs are easy to come by, but everything else from that era can be hard to find.

I still have vague, dim memories of movies and TV shows I saw as a kid in the 80s which seem to be totally lost and impossible to find.

Luckily I could scratch one of them off my list a year ago or so. It was a science fiction movie I saw a few times as a kid in the 80s and I have been searching for it ever since I had internet access almost 30 years ago, only remembering a few small details about the movie. It drove me nuts, but then eventually someone knew what I was talking about and told me what the name of the movie was.
Turned out, it was some super obscure half Australian, half Italian movie.

Other examples I am still looking for, without much hope to ever find them.

One was a animated movie, most likely a Japanese Anime, or maybe it was a series. I rented it on VHS as a kid several times.
All I remember is that some kids found a strange object in a forest, a spindle of sort, which then turned out to be part of the propulsion system of a alien space ship.
Those kids ended up flying into space with a group of space pirates or something like that and they were sent to rescue a princess from the clutches of a giant who was wearing a golden cage with the princess inside it on a chain around his neck like a pendant.

There's this game i've been trying to find for a long long time. I played it in the 2000s and I don't remember if it came in a cd or if it was downloaded. I remember it was a 3d game and it was some kind of desert town you could drive through, and I remember there was this robot npc guy that kinda looked like WALLE, you couldn't interact with him or anything but he was just there. I also remember on the other side of the town there was some other npc just standing there doing nothing but I can't remember what it was. I think at the beginning of the game before you actually played the desert map, it was this 2D thing where you played as this beanbag with wings and you had to fly to the top of something and there were obstacles or something. It feels like a fever dream but I remember this game so well. Maybe the beanbag thing was another game but I really wanna find that game with the WALLE looking robot npc near the road.

I also wanna find that one game where you played as a boy frog and you had to travel across the land to find the girl frog in a cage and save her, but you could also choose to be the girl frog and save the boy

My biggest nightmare is waking up a large chunk of time later, having lived my life, but having no memory of it. like waking up one morning and it’s 10 years later and my life has changed around me but I have no memories of it at all. like being in a walking coma? that would make a great nightmare on elm street real nightmares episode 😂
