I have long said that Type O was my second favorite group after Pink Floyd. Christian Women is a masterpiece. I have to disagree that Life is Killing Me is like their initial albums. I think the sound stands alone among their albums. Peter said himself that he hated World Coming Down and wanted Life is killing to sound nothing like it. I used to say Life is Killing me was their worst album. But I have really grown to appreciate it. World Coming Down is awesome as well.

    R.I.P Peter.

I certainly don't call myself woke. That word started off as a bastartization of the English language. I hate the calling of everything racist and sexist. But the other side's characterization of that ideology is silly as well. They call wanting a higher minimum wage woke for example. F outta here with that. But I have to say, Slayer is one of my favorite groups as well and it's very disappointing that Tom is pro life. That is one issue I have no tolerance for. If you're pro life, I dont even want to hear your opinions on the subject. R u gonna pay for the baby u want to force someone to have? No? Then stfu. We don't care about your fake Jesus story.

I like to think thereโ€™s a parallel universe where after Carnivore broke up, Peter said โ€œyโ€™know what? Maybe music isnโ€™t for meโ€ and went back to work for the Parks department. He meets a nice goth girl, they hit it off, get married, have a couple kids, and today heโ€™s a couple years away from retirement and living modestly with his wife as empty nesters somewhere in Queens.

i like the band, and i'm much older than the TikTok kids you claim to be cancelling TypO, but if he'd lived we would have had a second Morissey on our hands lmao.
just because someone is "from a different generation and/or bachground" doesn't mean they can spout nonsensical and offensive shit.

I think that as a kid I liked Type O Negative so much cause, even as young as I was, I could hear and understand Pete's self hatred and anger at things in some of their songs. I always thought that he was a lyrical genius and thought he was so talented. It's just so unfortunate and sad that he grew up in an era where reaching out for help was considered weak and pathetic.

He also left us way too soon, and it's so tragic we'll never get to see music from him at a point in time where he loved himself. Imagine how amazing that music would've been.

For years the only albums I heard by them were bloody kisses and October Rust.
There are obviously great songs on the albums, but also filler. There is a re- release of bloody kisses where Peter removed the filler tracks- I want to track that down and buy that. Just a few days ago, I sat down on my couch and listen to their last three albums.
I like those albums better! I have been missing out on them for years! I can say I am a fan now. ๐Ÿ–ค

I love reading all these comments. I never meet TON fans in real life. I got to โ€˜meetโ€™ Peterโ€ฆI was back stage at the Masquerade in ATL. Going up the stairs as he was coming down. Iโ€™m 4โ€™11โ€ and he goes, โ€˜holy shit, I donโ€™t want to step on you.โ€™ I was star struck so just laughed and kept walking past him ๐Ÿ˜ญ

I partied with Pete Steele and other the members of TON after a few shows and they weren't product of modern day politically correct stuff.

I took my little sister to one of their shows and they were in the bar afterwards with us, my little sister was smashed as usual. She walked up to Peter Steele (My sister was about 2ft shorter than him and weighed 100 lb soaking wet), she ripped the bottle of wine out of his hand and took the bottle and took this massive drink of it like it was Gatorade on a hot day. She you then went in for another big gulp then she spit it out all over him and it said you have no taste in wine! The entire band and road crew were laughing their asses off at my stupid sister.

Peter still took it in stride and laughed as well. I think he wanted to boink her cuz she was just the right amount crazy for guys who want to live on the edge. ROFL

I got my sister out of there before she got everybody in trouble and he sent everyone at our table around of drinks.

Pete Steele and the other band members I met were always great with their fans, didn't take themselves too seriously, usually partied in the bar after the concerts and we're overall nice guys.

Like the chants of "you suck, you suck, you suck, ad infinitum" before they took the stage.

I really miss Type O Negative.

Fuck PC/Woke /liberal censorship. This is why most metal maniacs and people into extreme metal pull the red lever over the blue. PC identity politics destroyed punk and HC. Both those scenes have become slaves to the system they drew anarchy signs and pentagrams against. How does it feel to be on the side of the tyrant Government? The party of slavery/High taxes/Eugenics/the list goes on.

Being progressive shouldn't make u automatically correct. Being political correct won't necessarily make u a good person and tbh, they're the ones forcing view points, I find it refreshing to see artist who aren't politically correct and actually think for themselves
