sharkboy and lavagirl was like a cinematic masterpiece, as a kid i LOVED the visuals and my guy is just roasting my childhood like it was nothing?? THIS MOVIE WAS A GODDAMN HIT. HE DARES TRY AND DISRESPECT MY SHARKBOY AND LAVAGIRL

Even when I first watched We Can Be Heroes when I was around ten or smth, I still didn't understand why these highly trained powerful superheroes couldn't defeat some aliens while their weak kids can.

My kids LOVE this movie. And as far as movies they love go, it's among the more enjoyable ones. I can't watch another Ice Age or Buddies (the post-sports Air Bud cinematic universe where Air Bud and another golden retriever have puppies and all of the goddamn dogs talk now) movie or I'll smash the TV. At least this is weird and stylistic.

Adult reviews of movies for kids are always kinda weird because our brains work differently. Like, as a kid, I loved the movie "North" – the one that inspired that legendarily scathing review from Roger Ebert, who I guess never wondered if maybe he's not the target audience for a movie about a little boy getting to choose a new family while being guided by a magical Bruce Willis.

I enjoyed this movie as a kid. I remember my Mom bought it for me at Walmart and it came with 3D Glasses. Was a time to be alive when this first released lol. Now, I did not know there was a part 2 to this. 💯
