The Locust: Most Annoying Band in California

Tome | March 14, 2025

It’s 1999. Justin Pearson, a member of a grindcore band called The Locust, decided to prank The Jerry Springer Show with a made-up story involving his three roommates. Beyond the fun of it and the opportunity to stay in a fancy hotel, there was also the chance to promote his band by wearing the logo on his T-shirt for the whole world to see.

I hate when anything dies. From a party to a person. Im not downplaying, I'm being quite literal. But mainly it's people and as you get older, they die more often, and pets too. Ive gotten used to them going so fast I begin to dread that day They will be gone even when they're still a puppy. Well also about dalton fifteen In the spring and we got a little puppy in the fall And he's great and everything but i still think about my Sam Sam. eventually you want to join them because you don't want to be around to see more of it.

I played in a band that opened for these guys years ago. We played UC Santa Cruz and opened for Andrew W K. It was awesome seeing these guys live. We all hung out backstage after the show. They were all really friendly. Too bad the drummer passed.

The Locust will forever be one of the greatest acts. I’ve got the “Safety Second, Body Last” cover tattooed on my leg. They fucking kill it dude R.I.P. Gabe.

If anyone knows how to reach Gabe Serbian's family please respond to me here. I used to date his sister Megan Serbian and she often stayed at my Hollywood loft until about a month before she passed, I know his father had some questions about what was going on with her around the time of her death, I was there so if anyone knows him or any relative please message me thanks

was supposed to see them (my first time) in april 2020, but a whole-ass pandemic happened.
i saw melf-banana in 2022(?), with deaf club supporting. in the latter band, i thought the singer was a dime-store justin pearson. i did not put two and two together until i looked them up when i got home. lol.

I have been enjoying this band for over 20 years now. I’m old enough to answer the question from my teens is this what I’m going to listen to as an old man? Yes, yes it is.
