Hey everybody! Thanks for watching this video, “The Life and Death of Movie Trailer Music”. This is a topic that I’m super passionate about and I’ve wanted to discuss it with you forever. Movie trailers are art — plain and simple. There’s so much that goes into the writing, editing, production, etc of a trailer, and it takes special, creative talent to make the best of the best. Mark Woollen is the king of the modern movie trailer. Him and his team have made some of the best work of the last 25 years and I think their piece for The Social Network is their magnum opus. With that being said, Mark’s selection of a certain song sparked an ugly, redundant trend in Hollywood, and I can’t wait for it to go away. Let me know what you think of this video and thanks for watching.
