I'm curious about Dailor's musical history because he has such unique sensibilities that I get the sense he is largely self-taught. Incredible things can happen when talented people teach themselves an instrument.

Maybe he's not the most mechanically adept guitar player, since it isn't his main instrument, but if he wrote that riff, then he clearly has most of the talent that matters! That is iconic! I had no idea he wrote that part of this song too. I knew he took part in the songwriting, like with The Creature Lives, but I didn't realize he was this involved! Takes my respect to a new level.

Excelente mas, o Eloy simplesmente fez o que sabe de melhor, conseguiu fazer ainda melhor que o original, hoje está a anos luz a frente de todos os demais bateras no mundo.

WAIT, WAIT, WAIT does this mean there's a "first time hearing" video with him? You didn't call him in just fir this 10 min video, right? If God shows up to talk to you, you don't say "nice talking to you but I gotta go, I have other stuff to attend to".

I'm a millennial guitar player(31)but the intro drums blew my mind and today it blows my 15 year old sisters minds. It will take a lot for a drum part to be better than his drum intro. one of the best intros ever.

transcription at 1:59 is slightly off there’s no snare hit on the “and” in the first grouping of sixteenths it’s
    3 e , a 4 e + a 1 e + a 2 e + a 3 e + a 4 e + a
with the 2, 3, and 4 e + a (from the second measure) on the small tom

loved it every time Need for Speed: Most Wanted Playlist played Blood and Thunder!

Back then I thought I was a little christian kid. Little did I know that I was a full blown metal head.

As one who knows absolutely nothing about drumming, I find it impressive how small his drum kit is compared to what Danny Carey or Mike Portnoy use. He makes pretty damn good use of it of course. I mention these two legends because Mastodon are more or less put in the same "progressive metal" bracket as Tool and DT.
