Fun Fact: People researching into the Humpty Dumpty rhyme think it wasn't about an egg at all. It was about a cannon mounted on a wall that fell that was called Humpty Dumpty for some reason.

Oooo I've got one! My grandmother was french and used to sing me Au clair de lune. As an old song there are many lyric variations to Au clair de lune, this is inportant to know because you will almost certainly never hear this particular version. For some reason, the version my grandmother sang me went a little like this:

    Au clair de la lune
(By the light of the moon)
    Mon gentil Monsieur
    (My good sir)
    Prete moi ta plume
    (Lend me your quill/pen)
    Pour ecrir un mot
    (To write a word)
    Ma grandmere est morte
    (My grandmother is dead)
    Je nais plus de feu
    (I have no light left)
    Ouvre-moi ta porte
    (Open your door for me)
    Pour l'amour du Dieu
    (For the love of God)

    It's…..just a little fucky 😅

What is the disturbing or sinister meaning of rock-a-bye baby?
Rock-a-bye Baby refers to events preceding the Glorious Revolution. The baby in question is supposed to be the son of King James II of England, but was widely believed to be another man's child, smuggled into the birthing room to ensure a Roman Catholic heir.10 Jun 2015

    yes i searched it up

Video idea: the guys who come up with words for Wordle. One guy stuck on 3 letter words, one guy super bad at spelling. Eventually they get there, but then they have to come back tomorrow (and forever) to come up with another one.

The song was supposedly adapted from a American Indian song based on the tradition of placing baby papooses in the willow boughs. The line about the bough breaking is a metaphor for the baby growing up, (ie the bitter-sweet emotions around leaving the protection of a loving mother).

Humpty Dumpty = a cannon from the English civil war
Ring around the Rosie was about the black plague
Mary Mary quite contrary was about Mary Queen of Scotland who unalived and tortured people
Muffin Man was about a child killer.

"Nowhere in Humpty Dumpty does it say anything about him being an egg. Think of it, go over it in your head. Doesn't say anything about it, it's just a guy who fell. A human being, ostensibly, one would imagine. It's horrifying, it's just the macabre tale of a kingdom of horses attempting to re-assemble a dead man."

“Ok we need a song about this major general, any ideas”
“How about we say that he knows about vegetables, animals and minerals”
“And maybe he knows the kings of England and he quotes the historical fights”
“Like from marathon to Waterloo in order categorial”
“He might be very well acquainted too with equations, both the simple and quadratical”
“So after all he’s the very model of a modern major general”
“What does this have to do with combat”
