Hi from Paraguay Joe!
I loved this video, It would be really cool if you do one for 2024 in two parts, first part, tracking all of this Biggest Science Discoveries of 2023 during 2024 and the second part, Biggest (non related to 2023's discoveries) Science Discoveries of 2024.
Keep it up!
Cheers

Is there a logic to pharma's drug naming conventions? Some system that actually makes sense if understood, like they choose letters/syllables that are easy to read even if hand-written terribly?
Or are they just nonsense words for patents sake?

Right now all of my apps are pushing AI on me. I. Hate. AI. Assistants. I can write my own text messages and questions on Google and emails and whatever the F else they want to help me with. I HAAAAATEEEE they all have names and talk to you like a human. They are toasters, no they don't help, and I'm fine with clicking off on APO's help no matter how charming you make the toaster. Leave. Me. Alone. I already paid you to have this mini computer in my hand. I'll pay a membership to not have an AI option.

AI should NEVER have entered the world of art. Not only do the programs steal from people, it's convincing an alarming number of people that typing some prompts into a program that mashes together stolen art makes them an 'artist.'

Few years and people will be debating which AI to vote for in the presidential election

The greatest problem with AI is not AI itself, it's how it's used and more importantly, by WHO. The greatest liars are political and corporate, therefore it follows that the ones that will use it the most to pull the wool over our eyes and create false reports i.e. Joe Biden suddenly seems coherent and wars can be shown with a definite bias, scenarios and scenes totally false for the viewers to sway the public. Corporate businesses will use it to show how good their services and products are, using deep fake people/celebrities using the product etc with wonderful results!
The best thing we did was get rid of our TV some years ago, we don't listen to the radio and stay away from newspapers because how much of it do you know is true? They all have a bias. They go for the, 'If it bleeds it leads.' angle, so they put things in front of you to make you angry and upset.
At the end of the day, what can you do about it except stew in your own juices? The government wants an emotionally unstable public because they are so much easier to control than level-headed, clear thinking people. AI is just another tool they will employ to spread what they want to spread and sell their ideals and influence.
Remember, folks, be sceptical and keep your eyes open and remember that your mind is your own.

So tired of hearing about string theory, yinz know we are able to see things in the 4th dimension right. Many worlds seriously there's no way way to prove or disprove it that's not science that's called religion

Gravitational Wave detection was possible with neutron stars dectection so is it possIble we can use a combination of these as Beacons for mapping, especially for space travel? It'll be a cool little detail if added to added to lore of some scifi.
I know there is already talk of Neutron stars as "beacons" but a combination of both would be better.

Alzheimer's Disease is the most compelling evidence that there is no benevolent God, and the people who devote their lives to caring for its victims are tragically unsung heroes.
