b12 deficite is a lie, if you're eating well – you have the b12 in your body, man, do some better research first. II have no problems with b12, and if you want, many non-vegans have that b12 problems, huh? At least, vegans have b12 added to many vegan products

NURSES' HEALTH STUDY and HEALTH PROFESSIONALS FOLLOW-UP STUDY: These long-term cohort studies in the United States involved over 200,000 participants. Dementia risk rose by 14% when people ate about 1 ounce of processed red meat a day. The risk for dementia dropped by 20%, however, for people who replaced that small daily serving of processed red meat with a daily serving of nuts and legumes.

Bones and teeth need not only calcium, but also phosporus, D3 and K2. Without those nutrients calcium will not go in its place in the bone or in the tooth. And you have not mentioned major problems of plant: oxalate, phytic acid and fiber, which prevents you from absobing zinc well. I am an ex-vegan, I developed a lot of cavities. Now I eat meat again and feel more energy, fall asleep easier, 2 my teeth with deep cavities developed tertiary dentine – protective layer between tooth's pulp and infected dentine of the tooth. Something is wrong with vegan diet, I am sure now.

It is curious when people say it is wrong to force people to do something they don't want to do, but yet factory farms are forcing animals to do something they don't want to do.

Im not vegetarian or vegan, but I like to enjoy days where its just meat free in my personal opinion.
My favorite vegetarian dishes are the refried beans and cheese burritos or tacos from a mexican restaurant, and the quesodilla Supreme from El toro.
I personally say everyone is cool. Whether you are vegan, vegetarian, or whatever. I'm not going to judge. It's still wrong to force people to do something they don't want to do.

According to the computer models out of Norway, a 20-year-old who went all in on the plant-based diet could add 10.7 years to their life for a female and 13 years to their life for a male. Females and males over 60 could add 8 and 8.8 years of life respectively. An 80-year-old who started a plant-based diet could add 3.4 years to their life expectancy, according to the study, published in February 2022 in PLOS Medicine.

A Harvard study: Association of Animal and Plant Protein Intake With All-Cause and Cause Specific Mortality.
Researchers brought in a large group of people and they looked at the protein they ate and who lived and who died. They controlled for the cholesterol and the fat so they could look just at the effect of the protein. Conclusion: Animal protein is always associated with higher cardiovascular mortality. Plant protein was inversely associated with all cause mortality.

The 7th day Adventists are often studied because they are health conscious, don’t drink alcohol or smoke, and eagerly participate in studies. The ADVENTIST HEALTH STUDY 2 found the more animal products the 7th day Adventists removed from the human diet, the lower the body weight and the lower the risk of type 2 diabetes. Participants: 96,000 Adventists living in the U.S. and Canada.

The 7th day Adventists are often studied because they are health conscious, don’t drink alcohol or smoke, and eagerly participate in studies. The ADVENTIST HEALTH STUDY 2, which included a large population of Seventh-day Adventists, found that individuals following a vegetarian diet (including both lacto-ovo vegetarians and vegans) had a lower risk of developing coronary heart disease compared to meat eaters. The study highlighted the protective effects of plant-based diets. Participants: 96,000 Adventists living in the U.S. and Canada.

Dairy consumption increases breast cancer.
Dairy is full of the hormone estradiol because the dairy cow is milked while it is pregnant and it has been measured in the milk. The 7th day Adventists are often studied because they are health conscious, don’t drink alcohol or smoke, and eagerly participate in studies. ADVENTIST HEALTH STUDY 2 showed the more milk the Adventists consumed the higher the breast cancer. This study was confirmed by a study in China, CHINA KADOORIE BIOBANK STUDY. The Conclusion: The more dairy you consume the higher your breast cancer risk. ¼ cup/day of milk increases breast cancer risk by 17%.

The BROAD study is a study of the Whole Food plant based diet: A randomized controlled trial (The Gold Standard of Studies)
Outcome: The WFPB diet can be seen as an effective, safe option for weight loss and chronic disease risk and quality of life improvements. Key foods included whole grains, legumes, vegetables and fruits.
No mandated exercise or calorie counting was implemented.
The WFPB group had a self-reported increased quality of life, they decreased their medication and blood glucose and their cholesterol dropped. The plant-based group had left the 3-month study 19 pounds lighter, but at 6 months were down about 27 lbs. The BROAD study, however, lasted only 3 months, yet the plant-based group not only lost significant weight, they kept it off. This study ran from August 2014 to 2015 and was extended to 2017.

22 sets of twins tried both vegan and meat diets. Researchers at Stanford University studied the twins' cardiovascular health. After eight weeks following their respective diets, the twin siblings who ate a vegan diet had lost more weight, reduced their LDL, or "bad" cholesterol, and experienced lower insulin levels, according to the study's findings. "The findings from this trial suggest that a healthy plant-based diet offers a significant protective cardiometabolic advantage compared with a healthy omnivorous diet," the study's authors wrote. The study, published Nov. 30 in the journal JAMA Network Open.

Doctor T Colin Campbell's The China Study shows meat and dairy causes cancers in humans. He was able to show this when he studied every county in China in his comprehensive The China Study. Many areas of China had no cancers while others areas showed cancer. Because of this he was able to show it was not because of genetics. He was able to show the areas that had cancer were doing things differently, eating meat and dairy. He was able to turn on tumor growth with the protein Casein which is much higher in cow milk 29.5 grams/liter versus human milk which is 2.5 grams/liter.

Sorry, but do you only read the Abstract in papers?? Or do you take your assumptions from the A.N.D. which is, in same cases, citing popular literature books of their own authors??
Everybody knows about B12. What about carnosine for example?? The precursor of it is beta-alanine. And nope, beta-alanine is not found in asparagus, peas or mushrooms. You just need to click your way through the citations to find that out.
What about carnitine? Known amongst athletes. What about choline? Is having no intake of choline at all harmless for our health??
I suffered from a vegan diet without even knowing it. And the reason being is that it happens so slowly, so gradually. A nutrient defiency doesn't happen over night since our bodies are made to survive. And you will also not be able to tell this from a blood test, because organs store nutrients as well.
I was on a vegan diet for 7 years because I thought it's not unhealthy. Turns out all the work that has been put into documentaries and so-called "papers" and studies and what not is poorly made pseudo-scientific work that so many people unfortunately believe.
I had my supplements but still I suffered from exhaustion, had a sleep paralysis and my depression started again after around 15 years.
It's not proven that vegan diets are not harmful. PERIOD.
Oh, and lemme try to make it complete: taurine, creatine, arachidonic acid, anserine, hyroxyproline. Active forms of known nutrients. Known nutrients with unknown functions in our bodies. That's it. That's what I know. And I don't even have any "science" in my name.
Still:
Greetings from Berlin, Germany.
PEACE
