He IS known to his friends as Corny but it’s not because anyone knew his name was Capricorn sadly. 😂 also someone did actually try the lost puppy one on me and my friend as kids. I am soo thankful I was there because she had a learning disability and was about to “help” the man 😢, he finished that sentence and I grabbed her arm and ran to my house as fast as I possibly could. We both have partners and children of our own today. ❤

so yeah, kids should watch out for strangers.. but they should watch out more closely for their coaches, pastors, family, etc.

i feel like “listening to your gut” is not a viable option, especially for neurodivergent kids. i’m autistic and ive been in plenty of situations where i didn’t realize i was in potential danger until my friends told me. just doesn’t seem okay to assume every child just has an instinct for danger 😭

JFC I forgot "Corny" was short for Capricorn. When I was little we had our own household VHS copy of Street Smarts' Stranger Danger, my grandpa dressed as McGruff the Crime Dog (Another Crime Prevention Relic) so we had all kinds of random things like that.
