Québec Spring 2025: Francophone Artists to Tour the UK in April and May
Quebec Spring: A Sonic Odyssey Blossoms Across the UK
In a season typically reserved for blooming flowers and fresh air, Québec’s vibrant music scene is about to unleash a diverse bouquet of sound and artistry that will reverberate across the United Kingdom. As it has for decades, the province continues to act as a fertile ground for musical talent, birthing influential figures like Leonard Cohen and Céline Dion, while concurrently nurturing a new generation of innovators including Kaytranada and Charlotte Cardin. This year, Québec is once again set to make its mark with the arrival of the Québec Spring initiative, running from April 14 to May 25.
Presented by M for Montreal, in collaboration with the Québec Government Office in London, SODEC, and the Conseil des Arts et des Lettres du Québec (CALQ), this ambitious showcase features an enticing roster of artists spanning genres from soul to noise rock.
The Lineup
Among the notable names featured in this year’s lineup, GEMINICRAB promises an immersive soul experience, while Geneviève Racette captivates with her enchanting francophone folk. The buoyant pop of Sorry Girls and Bibi Club sets a perfect contrast to the experimental edges of Patche, whose avant-garde techno might make you rethink your place on the floor. For those craving something raw and chaotic, look no further than the noise-rock powerhouse zouz and the electrifying Truck Violence, who have earned a cult status under the iconic Montreal label Mothland.
As an added treat, a special showcase will take place on May 12 at London’s Old Blue Last, bringing together Ballsy, a dream-pop act oozing atmosphere, and the art-punk duo Alix Fernz, ensuring that the spirit of Québec resonates in the heart of the UK’s vibrant cultural scene.
