I was on hold with Sixt rental car company for a long time once, and they had a fully produced song with lyrics about the company which was honestly a fucking banger. I've never been able to find it anywhere after that. I recorded it though lol

Years ago, I was on hold with eBay customer service for an extremely long time. (Less than a year, though, I have to admit.) They kept repeating the same song the whole time. It sounded vaguely "Greensleeves"-ish, sort of post-medieval pastoral, mostly guitar, and I called it "The Death of Lady Mondegreen." (If you know what that is, you might pause to laugh here.)

I was on long holds more than once in a few months, and back then, it was always the same music. I actually tracked it down to something written for the soundtrack to "The Last of the Mohicans," not the famous film, but a different, German film.
