Netflix also had an app (or whatever Nintendo called it) on the Wii but you had to use a disc too, strange times

8:58 I didn’t know Albania moved like that damn, guess that’s why they have one of the best flags. My only prior experience with Albania was my absolutely terrible science teacher who was from there. I had to correct her on things because she didn’t know any of the concepts and she’d thank me like it wasn’t embarrassing a 17 year old knew her curriculum better then she did

2:50 Actually, Netflix originally linited consumers to three DVDs per rental, and that disclaimer was at the bottom of the screen in the very commercial this time stamp is from. Blockbuster responded with their own service, but they actually did offer an unlimited number of DVDs per rental, making it a better value than Netflix at the time. They probability could have held their own, but panicked by ending late fees, which limited their profits, and by extension, their ability to invest in effective measures to counter streaming, Redbox and on demand.

In fifth grade they had us make the password we would use for the rest of our schooling career…and my innocent 11 year old self decided that Netflix&Chill was perfect 😭
I had absolutely no idea what it meant besides watching Netflix to relax.
Also I liked Is It Cake….i liked that show…it was funny. The second season pissed me off cause they changed shit, but god damn it I liked that show.

Netflix is one of those companies that had an idea, got everyone hooked and beat the competition, then just… started undoing all of that. Constantly removing shows was bad, but also removing reviews, star ratings, to making even the thumbs down do nothing? There're not even trying to cater anymore, here's 20 shows you don't want to watch, take em or leave em! Also, you can't watch unless you're physically at home, lol

In Albania we didn't have authentic movies or games, there were a bunch o shops that just burned you a copy for 50 cents. It was great. No returns no nothing. I still have play from time to Tony hawk American wasteland and Naruto ultimate ninja 3, soul calibur 3, atelier iris 3. My favs

wanna mention how fucked over the actors of these early streaming shows got. Network Tv would pay them everytime they played an episode they were in but netflix said fuck that and there was some loopholes so they never got paid fairly for all the millions of streams
