See how livestock guardian dogs protect the herd on our farm. Discover the reality of daily farm life and the bond between handler and dog.

This footage captures the quiet moments of working with livestock guardian dogs in the field. If you are interested in homesteading or want to see how farm dogs operate in a misty, rural environment, this provides an honest look at our daily routine.

We also share a glimpse of the farm landscape, including the fields and the history marked by the gravestone on the property. Understanding the role of working dogs is essential for anyone considering adding these animals to their own operation.

Subscribe for weekly farming and livestock management tips, and tell us in the comments if you want to see more of our daily routine with the dogs.

I would love some videos focusing on how to raise and care for fruit and nut trees through their different life cycles. maybe some challenges you've had with different varieties/species. Me and my family just planted a couple in our garden this last year. Peach, nectarine, apple and a variety tree I randomly bought for cheap (grafting is so wickedly interesting)

Love your videos! I've been following for about 3 years now and really dream of living a lifestyle very similar to what you display in your farm blogs

A petite giant pumpkin has a special appeal all its own.

I'm looking forward to Bluey and Bingo having a gentleman caller in a month or two. I wonder what Barn and Larn will think about the stranger in their midst.

    Have a wonderful weekend!

All the photos I see from New England this year, it seems to be THE MOST spectacular colour!!! The oranges look almost a neon, they're so bright. 🍁🍂🍁 It's this time of year that I miss my New England.
And, we say again today, maybe next year! ⚾️

Aww, Dani that's awesome! I can't wait for Spring!! <3 Cattle marshmallow delivery!! I saw near the fourth of July some of those bound bales were shrink wrapped in decorated stars, heh. Maybe you can paint one to look like a white pumpkin with poster paint, heh. (a little black and green paint, maybe some yellow for the glow).

9:43 It’s not a garbage apple tree, it’s a crabapple. I think you’re expecting desert or cooking apples and that’s not what a crabapple does. It has its own niche. It’s wonderful for providing pectin for setting jams and jellies and crabapple jelly on its own is a marvellous condiment for cheese and cold meats.
Then there’s the support it provides for birds and other animals as the winter starts drawing near. You’re really selling it short by calling them garbage apples and quite frankly, it’s disappointing to hear you being so unwilling to listen and learn.

Your videos are always high points of my week, and seeing your trees turning and that spectacular view from the high pasture down to the barns and the house… you're living in paradise

you need to tell him he's fixed, he doesnt seem to know. Even if you just blanche the tomatoes and skin them, you can freeze them till you make a nice marinara. so good from fresh, u can add meat if you want.
