Lisi’s E8 Theory of Everything Finally Made Rigorous

David Chester gives a repeat of his talk to the 2023 Octonions, Standard Model, and Unification lecture series, titled “Physically Realistic Minimal Models from E8”.

This technical talk discusses multiple approaches towards using E8 to recover the standard model spectrum with gravity. Multiple new paths for symmetry breaking are found to recover the conformal group with the standard model. An explicit model is found to contain conformal gauge gravity with flipped SU(5) grand unified theory.
