āš›Climate Change has been going on since the dawn of time

and will continue to vary "till the end of the world"

Climate change is being preached as a new religion…

In Norway the sea does not rise… Here the land areas rise…

An exception is that the sea rises twice within 24 hours and we call this high tide.

When the sea recedes it is called ebb tide…

As we know, the Earth's surface is constantly changing. There is a reason we have earthquakesā€¦

The ice sheets on Earth have always had variations…

The coral reefs off Australia are GROWING in size…

Activity on the sun varies in cycles with a peak every 11 years.

If the CO2 level gets too low, life dies out…

Why do we have a safety valve called Volcanoes?

Here in Norway we have absolutely excellent air quality, but in densely populated areas they have polluted the nearby areas…

Clean up the mess around you where you live!

But don't come here and tell me we have to help clean up

in the shit you have created for yourselves!

Clean up and clean self-produced pollution and stop throwing rubbish into rivers and the sea areas that also surround all the rest of us here on the planet!

I intend to continue lighting campfires where I live.

But by all means continue to preach the climate religion in those areas that need to clear up their self-produced problems.šŸ¤“āš›

I rewatched this post today and couldn't but marvel how some things have already changed. We can see how battery technology is advancing at an enormous rate. There's almost no doubt we'll have cheap 1000 mile range cars by 2030. There are now companies who are designing battery powered commercial aircraft.Ā
One thing your post didn't cover is the fact that so many current jobs will disappear. Oxford University in 2013 released a research paper that rated many hundreds of job classifications will just disappear leading to unprecedented joblessness like we've never experienced before. How will that affect the future? Love your work, mate.

I think šŸŒ will make some serious changes. šŸ‡ŗšŸ‡² Not so much. A massive portion of our population is delusional. Not enough to stop progress, but they'll definitely slow it down.

I see this alot in various content, where legitimately smart people talk about needing a 3rd economic model but they cant imagine what that would be. I don't know if its just because its the internet and they don't want to upset people but I really cant understand how people who feel this way do not see socialism as the alternative worth pursuing. If the only issues they can find with it are central planning failures and authoritarianism, then 1. previous central planning models were done before the widespread use of computers, much less ai, and ones that did like Cybersyn in Chile were shown to help, and that was in 1970, and 2. there is no shortage of authoritarian capitalist nations and yet no one seems to say capitalism is inherently authoritarian even though it's an economic model which features a single or group of owners which have all the authority within a given corporation with little to no accountability to those they exercise that authority over. We have an alternative that is shown to work, albeit in an very imperfect way, if it were any engineering problem people would say to pursue that and perfect it, but given that its a political problem in a nation with more thorough indoctrination than any totalitarian fever dream of the 20th century, we reject our most likely path to success and make the perfect the enemy of the good.

hyrdrogen will be the new fuel its in all things we need to make a hydrocon and start using it properly. ill tell ya this, if were to construct anything thats truly this big or life changing, we have to put this "cost" thing aside, and just fuckin build it. what stops progress, is greed. as long as the WEF and world is run by these people, your gonna be going backwards.

the only people going any "non car route" is dumb people, people who dont like cras or work on theyre own car, and rich people. any real normal person, is gonna want to drive a gas powered car on the ground

First sci fi novel is from ancient Rome. I believe the next one is from Voltaire. It is sci-fi, but also satire. I don't think either sort of meshes on the point here, as they were not really "future technology" so much as they were about aliens from outer space.

I think we will also though have a cultural reform from the current left wing post-modernist dominated culture, because itā€™s now overwhelmingly the dominant cultural narrative and they overwhelm the institutions especially academia and the mid level bureaucracies, depopulation will become an issue, people are becoming more and more depressed and anxiety ridden and these are direct consequences of these dominant ideologies, they have dismantled power structures, they prevent any unifying ideas, and if you want to prevent Nazism thatā€™s great but you have to give the devil itā€™s due, community, sense of belonging, low level societal structures are gone and people are lost and not happy, Ik this because Iā€™m 19 itā€™s a growing sentiment especially among guys, but itā€™s still pretty fragmented as people donā€™t know what post-modernism is

We do know some transatlantic oligarchs who push for policy today tend to agglomerate around neomalthusian ideologies, meaning, they think Earth should have its population reduced. They do tend to be progressives and socialists and their wishes revolve around voluntary population decrease. They push for the following ideologiesto be hip and cool, like less babies, smaller families, voluntary abortion, sterile forms of sexual gratification in lieu of reproductive ones, and they do tend to prefer the sexes fighting instead of falling together in place.

I can see a significant number of people living in space or on other planets in system by 2200. You might see the start in 2100 or earlier. It won't be something any one can do

3d printing remains not approachable enough for the average person. You need to spend hundreds if not thousands of dollars on a complicated machine, have a stable and reliable power source for it, buy a bunch of filament, learn 3d modeling software, then have the patience to wait for the item to print and be okay with reprinting when something inevitably goes wrong during the printing process, or your 3d model itself has defects. It's just not convenient enough yet for the layman.

we used physical maps Sometimes you go to the public libraries or local gov offices and pay for a large map copy of your area-city-county kept it in the car or truck and paid attention to were the hell you're going. Ther are these things called books we still make them whole books with the roed ways of your state hole country you might be suprized.

Buying something gives you instant psychological gratification. Downloading a 3D print file, filling a printer with Goop, and kicking it off to run overnight to wake up to a plastic peel-n-go mess you have to clean up is not.

Plus when you get a package, it's like receiving a gift. Printing a cup is cool, but it feels weird.

Sadly Author C. Clark did not understand micromanagers (CEOs). 8:00 they did not understand steroids and over consumption.
I do not want to feel every ones thoughts even good emotions. Do not need hats to have whatever could just be an earpiece, glasses, eyepatch, etc…
Most of the space stuff I guess is closer or if not post 2200 or beyond the point where we are starting to move a lot faster than we do now, this is due to economics/what we have.
AI is not at 99% yet, we are maybe 25%. Not saying if we can make AGI or not, but AI is mostly if border then turn left.
The earth will never get to a point that it can not recover at least in the next roughly 100million years. If climate change is that bad, then the earth will get rid of the virus (humans) that is trying to kill it.

Wonderful vid! Mary Shelley also wrote "The Last Man," first published in 1826. It describes a dystopia that takes place in the late 21st Century. Haven't read it yet, though. "A True Story" was written by Syrian author Lucien of Samosata in 2nd Century A.D., featuring space travel, alien lifeforms, and robots. But I agree with you that science fiction and dystopian literature emerged with the advent of technology and mechanization.

You should check out the movie Brainstorm, Natalie Wood's last film with Christopher Walken, and Louise Fletcher. Recording and experiencing others' thoughts and memories using non-invasive tech. The movie still weirds me out today, as it deals with, well experience it for yourself.

I'm concerned about how much Israel will be controlling us in the future… What code for implementing justice or governing us would AI get from the get go if the programmers are biased?

I was born at the end of 1981.
When I was in elementary school, we were referred to as
"The Smoke Free Class Of 2000" we had shirts, and jingles they regularly made us sing. We sang it so much, I still remember the words.
"We are the smoke free class of 2000. Two triple zero, everyone's a hero, or a shero. Healthy lungs, healthy heart. We won't have to quit, because we'll never start." Lol. Here I am in 2024, still not a cigarette smoker, or a vaper. However I do enjoy the devil's lettuce šŸ˜‚
