LCD Soundsystem Returns with New Track "X-Ray Eyes" on NTS Radio

In a much-anticipated return, LCD Soundsystem has unveiled their first new song in two years, "X-Ray Eyes," during a live segment on NTS Radio this morning (October 22). The track made its debut on the Soup To Nuts breakfast show, hosted by London DJ anu, who expressed excitement for the track, stating that it “will be dropping soon” and setting the stage for eager fans and critics alike.

For those glued to their speakers, "X-Ray Eyes" can be streamed now via the archived show, with the new music kicking off at the 19:40 mark. While further details about the track remain sparse, listeners can expect the eclectic blend of dance-punk and electro-pop that the New York group is renowned for.

This surprise release marks a notable return for LCD Soundsystem, who last shared new material in 2022 with their contribution to the film White Noise. The year 2022 felt like a victory lap for the band, which had a triumphant comeback with 2017’s American Dream. Since then, the group has maintained a consistent presence on stages across the US and Europe, captivating audiences with their dynamic live shows.

Fans of the band have been eagerly awaiting new material since their last offering, and "X-Ray Eyes" seems poised to fill that gap, promising to deliver the signature sound that melds introspective lyrics with infectious dance grooves. As anticipation builds, we can’t help but wonder what this new chapter holds for James Murphy and co.

Keep your ears peeled for more updates as we await the full release of "X-Ray Eyes" and any possible announcements regarding future projects. In the meantime, dive into the soundscape of LCD Soundsystem’s return—because the dancefloor may just have found its new anthem.
