In 2022, computers finally passed the Turing test, where you talk to an AI for as long as necessary before deciding that you cannot tell of it is an AI or real human. Also in 2022, breakthroughs in artificial creativity occurred that surpassed the expectations of many people. These forms of strong artificial creativity are writing scientific papers, novels, music and visual art that rivals that of humans. The message here is that exponential change is occurring very fast lately. Science fiction is becoming reality. Older beliefs about what is impossible are quickly being replaced by an evidence-based new reality of the formerly unbelievable.

Are we in a simulation?

This multi-part series is about the nature of reality. One philosophy to consider is materialism, which is the guess that reality is not made of information at its core but is made of material or matter. The digital physics revolution is the increasingly popular belief among physicists that materialism is a false philosophy and that reality is literally made of information vs being conveniently described by it.

If reality is made of information, two candidates for what its substrate would be include: (1) An emergent universal computer. Or (2) an emergent universal mind. Either one could serve as the substrate to hold and process information.

The series starts with an emphasis on the instability of human civilization in the 21st century and how quickly old scientific and cultural belief systems are changing. It ends with the provocative suggestion that a clearer scientific picture of what reality is could shift humanity off course from its current high potential for apocalypse. Specifically, if the truer picture turns out to be a status quo rejection of the ancient philosophy of materialism, the implication is that it would change how humanity evolves and interacts on this planet going forward.

HUMANS can never allow natural selections just be. We tend to create hybrids of all matural biological matter for the good while totally morphing all. Why would A.I. be any more different?

UAP's are not us. They are AI from the future that replaces us. But has our consciousness in our image. So, it is technically the continuation of universal consciousness, so, i guess thats ok since our minds are of that same consciousness. The human form was never meant to be the consciousness' permanent form.

I am a computer programmer and we know exactly how all programs work because they just follow computer code……that is all they do. No magic. Yes they can use vast amounts of data and it may take years to go through all the data to see why a computer program did something but there is still no magic. Machine Learning, AI, Fuzzy Logic…..these are all just computer programs that follow a defined set of steps that is the computer code

Yes are we are living in a simulation. We are are controlled by a simulated program but we are real as members a huge factory operated under the guidance of a simulated program .our statistical ensemble is huge like number of air molecules in a box, which are free to move randomly but exert fixed pressure on walls and demonstrate a fixed temperature.

This stuff is fascinating but also makes me think of an adolescent memory. My friend and I used to enjoy setting the fuzz on our palm tree on fire, then immediately patting it out (stupid? I know!) But one time the flames got too high to reach, so we couldn't pat it out and the tree went ablaze. We never intended for that to happen. How can we be sure that these emerging technologies don't get out of hand, when it is likely to exceed human intelligence exponentially?

I asked ChatGPT if the pace of change is accelerating and this was its reply: “It is a common perception that the pace of change is accelerating, and there is some evidence to support this view. For example, the rate of technological innovation has increased significantly in recent decades, and many aspects of modern life, including communication, transportation, and access to information, have been transformed by technological advances.

However, it is also important to recognize that the pace of change has varied throughout history, and different fields and industries have experienced different rates of change. Additionally, the perception of the pace of change may be influenced by a variety of factors, including individual experiences and biases.

Overall, it is difficult to accurately measure the pace of change, and it is likely that it will continue to vary in the future.”

Our government won't allow any technology that is too beneficial to the population. They won't allow free energy… every recipient will be taxed to death. They will never allow age reversal tech as it will drown humanity in overpopulation. They will never allow massive cuts to military spending… currently $800 billion a year, as war is used as a means to launder tax money to Oligarchs and political parties, …, …,

The evil are in charge and the peasants are incapable of weeding them out

As humans, we are creating artificial intelligence, but if a higher power such as God created us, does that mean that we are just another form of artificial intelligence?

We…humanity…really needs to take a moment …figure out the whole purpose, ethics, and goals of what we are doing, who (if anyone ) ought to regulate and control this, and really just slow up a bit. AI has huge potential …and ultimately our very survival will likely depend upon it. If we are in fact in a simulation ourselves , we should probably try to understand how creating a simulation within a simulation could effect our existence . I feel like everyone is racing carelessly towards AI without even contemplating the dangers.

4:40 not entirely true. AI is majority of time is relying too much on the data it has absorbed. there is no artificial imagination involved yet.

AI cannot create a joke on its own that is original. it creates something but it doesn't know what it is. it cannot taste yet or exhibit or reveal that it can taste what it is cooking.

conversely, AI should not be human level intelligent, we already have billions.

We need it to have something like God level awareness and God level love for humanity.

someone that takes care of us like kindergarten or daycare on cosmic scale.

I am not a Physicist. I am a Designer and in my opinion we are in some sort of "evolutive creationism" so today we are unaware of tomorrow, but facts tend to evolution and facts are unchangeable. This type of "evolutive creationism" I apply Schrödinger concept to Philosophy of creation: "If nothing is nothing, how can nothing exist? That's how the universe was created;" thus, we exist and don't exist at the same time. The universe is real and a simulation at the same time. A game between our universe and the "parallel" universe.

    Dear Quantum Gravity Research;

Out of curiosity, what fundamentals would change if reality was a Matrix, Simulation, or even Creation. Even if these words are just semantics that the Universe doesn't care what you call it?

How will it change the course of new learning if there would need to be?

    I'm just trying to understand.

Always love your videos. I have learned a lot, only to ask new questions, and I thank y'all for that.

OK, I hit the 👍, but how do I know if that was the real Klee? Oh Shit, how would Klee know if this is the real me?
Think I just sprained my frontal lobe, or a main kernel, or… Make it stop, Make it stop

I strongly believe that as some properties of our reality are emergent, the conciousness is too.
So, it could be that we had stumbled upon the "recipe" of conciousness: just a bunch of atoms flowing in a particularly way which allows the conciousness to exists in that enviroment.

Also, i love the approach of Klee and his team research. Lets hope that AI can continue to contribute to your progress so you can break the code of our reality while we are here to see!
