Justice: Grand Ronde: Protecting Our Spirits

FNX TV | June 14, 2026

In Oregon, the Confederated Tribes of Grand Ronde treatment and recovery services are making strides in tackling the opioid crisis both in the tribal community and in neighboring towns and cities. Taking care of the health and wellness of community members is a key tribal value, and the tribe has created its own programs to address the needs of the community. The state, like many other states in the U.S., has been hit by the opioid crisis, including the misuse of prescription and illicit drugs. Tribal programs are addressing stigma around opioid use disorder. Great Circle is the first tribally owned opioid treatment program in the state. The Confederated Tribes of Grand Ronde also provide recovery and transitional housing services.
