Im a teacher- had my baby last November, and i STILL CANT find childcare. I applied for the childcare voucher, took half a year for them to approve me, now 2024 baby is almost one and they still haven’t approved enrollment for the childcare center i applied to. 7 months! I had to go on family leave, then eventually stop working all together. Luckily, my mom has a flexible hospital schedule so she helps with childcare when she can as i started a computer science degree. Its hard, and these maga republicans are going to make it impossible for parents like me trying to establish a better financial position in the future. 😢

I’m a liberal who always hated Hillbilly Elegy because he writes about these people as one dimensional sub human losers.
