To say that the images it creates are based on what "we"(people) think hell looks like is fundamentally wrong. Humans don't even think hell exist. The very notion of Hell comes from the Holy bible, meaning this is what Almighty God says hell looks like and it is how human beings have written down his exact words. These images are 100% true as a result of this.

Hell looks busier than Uncle's Day at a whorehouse.

AI has only what people program into it to work with, so the very concept of the timelessness and utter despair and loneliness of hell escapes the mix. I have heard it's a place of 'consequences', not so much a 'punishment'. We set our lives up in pre-incarnation 'contracts' with other souls we work with throughout lifetimes to learn by their actions, good or bad. By making our lives difficult, relatives & friends allow us to learn in the abstract. You really have to think about it to grasp the concept, but if you get it, you'll know.
