Find more than 100 videos of wildlife encounters with giant mirrors

    (A) Elephants [in general] are my favorite animal as well. (B) I completely agree with you that they shouldn't be held in captivity. (C) I sometimes wonder how similar or different mammoths were from modern elephants [e.g., Were they as intelligent as extant species?]. (D) I just liked and subscribed.

There s a fable in my country, abt a bunch of blind fortune tellers trying to describe an elephant. They r blind, so each one of them describe the elephant in a different shape n form, hyperfixating on the parts they can conceive. This is a story abt seeing the bigger picture, and something is more than the sum of its parts. But it also shows us, how effing weird an elephant is if u just look at its individual features, like a bunch of animals rolled up in 1. Im not surprised abt the theory that behemoths, the king of beasts, were just elephants.

if someones got their nose bigger than my leg, the sense of smell gotta be strong to match the sheer volume of the nose

im not surprised they can swim this well, elephants have built in snorkeling tube after all

There is an elephant sanctuary in Hugo Oklahoma. I went there. It was amazing. We had a private tour. We were able to pet and wash one of the elephants they saved from a circus. We went for my birthday. At the end of our tour, I hugged that lovely elephant, and I cried. I thanked her for being a live.

I remember a while back a museum trip when someone proposed a hypothetical "what if dinosaurs were brought to modern Africa?" And obviously the side question "how would a T rex vs Elephant situation play out?"

Some said T rex would win cause … well T rex, others said Elephant cause it was essentially a while less armored, slightly bigger and way more intelligent Triceratops, but one of the guides said Elephants would likely fair well against a rex because of their intelligent minds , mainly they could employ weapons like throwing branches and rocks at them.

Life has been around on Earth for billions of years, and some things never changed in that time. For example, there are a few exceptions to this rule, but the proboscideans are the biggest land animals ever since the dinosaurs.

Elephants are one of my mom's favorite animals. She got to interact one on one with former work elephants in Thailand. Everyone was assigned their own elephant that they fed and bathed with. She said it was one of the best things she ever got to do in her life.

However, we also went to Tanzania and got to see wild African elephants, mostly herds with babies. Though, we did get charged at by a big male Bull who came rampaging out of the bush and that was very scary. You don't even realize how big they are until they're literally feet away from you and coming up on you like the police on a thief. They are scary fast and when they flare their ears, they look bigger than the vehicle you're actually in.
