You’re wrong on a lot here. I’m very experienced with edibles and THC. It’s not necessary the THC that helps you sleep. There’s so many other things when you buy and look on the label from a dispensary, a licensed dispensary that tells you what’s in everything.

I'm a veteran, alcohol and cigarettes addiction actually destroyed my life. I suffered severe depression and mental disorder. Got diagnosed with cptsd. Not until my wife recommended me to psilocybin mushrooms treatment. Psilocybin treatment saved my life honestly. 8 years totally clean. Much respect to mother nature the great magic shrooms.

Nah cause you are literally incapable of JUST QUITTING something you’ve developed a dependency on. I’m quitting nicotine but I smoke thc daily and I don’t know if I can “just take a whole month off” tf

I have narcolepsy and anxiety. My REM is very unregulated and very often. I also struggle heavily with insomnia at night (yes they can happen together, insomnia at night can be a symptom of narcolepsy!). I wonder if THC could push out or extend my REM cycles so that I get more "normal" sleep. I also have anxiety and chronic pain, and have considered using CBD to help with that, I hope to see more research into the "ideal" dose of CBD for sleep so that I could possibly take a more wakeful dose in the morning, a more sleep inducing dose in the evening, or an "ideal" dose during the day. I don't really consume THC ever because of laws being restricted to medical decriminalization where I live right now, but in 2025 it will be medically legal. I hope by then there is more research done about THC and narcolepsy or CBD and how different doses affect sleep.

I recommend reading Alduos Huxley's "Brave New World", it will give one an idea as to why Tabaco corporations and Governments are promoting Cannabis to pacify the masses so they will be easier to control.

I smoke daily for years now and I never dream unless I take a T break. Recently I started taking lion’s mane supplements and I started to have dreams again even though I’m still smoking. Idk what this means but the lion’s mane is doing something for me 😂

Without weed, I get around 4-5 hrs of sleep and have to get up to pee at least twice. It's horrible. With a little bit of weed…not enough to get me high, I get a good 8-9 hours and I can go all night without having to go to the bathroom. I also realized that even when I smoke weed, I do have some dreams but they literally evaporate into thin air the second I awake, which is why it seems as if I don't dream at all. Without weed, it's dream galore. I'll have 5 different dreams in one night and remember the last two. Sometimes I have bad dreams too, so it's got its pros and cons.

I smoke cuz I enjoy it. But after having smoked for such a long time, it doesn't really help me sleep anymore. But luckily I've managed to teach myself to fall asleep rather quickly.

I definitely have the sleep issue, i had insomnia the entirety of my childhood up until i graduate high school and started smoking, i could sleep every single day for a normal 8 hours and it was so wonderful but over the years it's now to the point where i only ever get 3-6 hours of sleep and the sleep i do get doesnt help me feel rested. I am constantly fatigued now. But if I quit then I stop sleeping almost entirely and it drives me crazy not being able to sleep more than an hour or two. I don't know what to do because none of the over the counter sleep aids really help.

Been smoking 1 to 2 grams a night. Survivor of physical mental narcissistic relationship abuse, and a former correctional officer … weed is the least addictive sleep helper I've found. ( rem nightmares causes sleep paralysis)

    7.5 hrs every night now

Sometimes when I get bored of regular sleep I completely stop smoking weed and combine that with melatonin and I have the craziest dreams imaginable and can usually remember almost every detail throughout the day

I used to have a medical condition that would keep me up for days… my body learned to sleep with my eyes open, sleep while doing a task, and when I did sleep I would be extremely aware of everything. I could tell you everything that happened while sleeping. It was to the point I would 'sleep' for 12 hours, wake up for an hour, then sleep for 3 more hours.
I once took this medication that was known to knock someone out (like booty juice but pill form) and would still be aware of everything. It was insane.
Thca has helped me not be aware during my sleep, get better sleep, and I no longer take 3 hour naps after 12 hours of sleep. I still get dreams as well 🙂 they are just less frequent. Which I like.
I used to avoid cannabis altogether and hated using it. I did it just so I could maybe fix the chronic fatigue I had by getting good quality sleep.
Edit: I use sativa to sleep. Not sure if that makes a difference

5:58 dudee. i was wondering why my sleep is either always 9+ hours , or around 7 hours (something like 12am-7:00am)
i used to have such a bad oversleeping problem, until i started waking up at a different time for a job. it's never exactly 8 hours, so it's crazy when i do hit that mark on occasion. i also notice that when im low/taking a break, i recall more dreams, surprise surprise. gaba & l-theanine, & generally getting your amino acids in, helps a lot too! i need to test black cohosh for the elevated body temperature when i take breaks

I've been smoking for like 6 years, I've never stopped dreaming and I remember them as much as other people I talk to do. my sleep can be inconsistent with duration and interruptions but that's usually just a phase so not necessarily related to the weed. I wonder what my REM is like

I forgot to mention that everything you said is all right on the money. The list of things better off for me now go on and on that I can’t even list everything. They say that stoners are not violent like alcoholics, but not me. Without any alcohol or other drugs, even while stoned, even while having more available to smoke, I would often times just be super easy angered. I was not a nice person sometimes and I even experienced the introvert thing to a high degree, always avoiding certain people like parents or son while high out of embarrassment and feeling awkward. 😬 I can’t believe I went on so many years feeling awkward all the time, being used to forcing myself to function for work and now I realize how fogged I was all that time. I even developed smokers bronchitis so many times and I thought this was all ok. I also would be depressed more often and have less patience for just about everything except for games and video gaming. I would always disrespect people thinking it was funny and even hate myself always downing myself. Mood swings and bipolar-ish behaviors were present all those smoking years too. After quitting all that stopped, and it is amazing how I realize all of this now that I totally blind to before. After about 3 months of quitting permanently i even noticed my coordination and ability to be precise to be much more enhanced than before as well as being able to maintain high focus and concentration on complicated things like hard math. No need to constantly re-read things too in order to fully comprehend it. The list goes on and on.

I stop for 3 days every 2 weeks because I feel like if I don't I get lethargic, but I have had severe insomnia in my past. I have experienced better sleep when I take the breaks, but it is much harder to fall asleep once I take a break. I have gone from being a regular smoker to none at all multiple times in my life and if I'm being honest both have their down sides, that said maybe it is time for me to take an extended break to maintain my health.

Have they separated the studies between the conjugated form from ingestion (11 hydroxy metabolite) compared to inhaling (THC)? I feel a distinct difference between the experience between the two (body vs head.) Perhaps that changes how it affects sleep as well?

i took cannabis to stop drug. at the first month, I'm thru a really hard time to sleep for 3-4days. after using cannabis, but I'm founded that my sleep quality was still not good. I'm only sleep 2-3hour for first month of my rehab. now, I'm sleeping 6-10hour a day's but still I feel my sleep was not in good quality, just feel like I'm sleeping with my eyes close in few second and awake. cannabis is disturbing your daily sleep quality. unless, you're the long terms user. starting today's, I trying to stop weed.

As a type 1 narcoleptic, weed is the only thing that prevents me from hallucinating that shadow beings are attempting to break in my windows while I am paralyzed several times per night, every night. It is the only thing that regulates my sleep patterns and allows me to sleep undisturbed for a reasonable length of time, free of fragmentation.

Idk about all this. Thc and cbd has gotten me almost completely off my trazodone prescriptions after a decade of dependence in weeks. So yeah if I stopped using it my sleep would get worse…

they are saying THC, CBD and CBN combo might be the insomnia combo that works… I'll be trying it… THC/CBD combo gives me insomnia, so that goes with what you are saying…
