How I Memorize So Much Music

92.9 The Torch | February 10, 2025

How is it possible to learn music quickly? In this video, I talk about the ways that musicians can learn effectively and easily by using a practice routine that develops muscle memory and eliminates bad habits.

Many musicians are able to memorize vast amounts of music and then translate that information into a performance. If you’re studying music, then learning music quickly will speed up your development so you can start to work on other things.

The method I use in this video helps you to build up a detailed picture quickly so that you can be accurate when it comes to performing. Many performers will rely on muscle memory to learn music, when in fact it’s better to be very detailed in your musical learning process.

How does repetitive practicing help musicians develop muscle memory? How is it that musicians are able to memorise large amounts of music and then perform with ease and fluidity?

Practicing an instrument requires repeating certain movements many times.
