One misconception I hear a lot is that Thomas Crapper perfected the Crapper flushing toilet and that its popularity with royalty helped spread the idea of distributing flushing toilets to the masses. That's just absurd. Next you'll tell me that John Hancock was the first man to sign his John Hancock on a document.

I'm pretty sure that WWE is fake. I mean, how do you explain them not being penalized for continuing the fight after they fall out of the ring and the referee is blowing the whistle? They never get charged with safety violations when they beat each other with fold up chairs. It just doesn't seem anything at all like wrestling in High School.

So, Helen Keller spoke positive about communism because she hasn't been able to see™ how it seems to squash ingenuity or hasn't heard™ about the countless millions of people who seem to always die when such authority is trusted to government.

Did she not have the time to think about it.
Makes one wonder what she might have sounded like if she had.

Yea the penny is a misconception but if u replace it with a bolt, nut, or screw and it’s a whole different story. We wear hard hats in the oilfield and it only takes a 100 ft fall for a bolt to fall and turn u into a vegetable.

No one thought Ninjas would walk the streets in full uniforms during the day and saying "Nah, they didnt wear black, they wore a very dark blue" is just nitpicking.

It's kinda insane just how much straight misinformation we were (and most likely still is) taught in school. My childhood was just filled with so many different white lies or complete fabrications of truth and it honestly makes me feel so uncomfortable. History is a very precious subject because how much of it is a mystery, yet for the morsels of truth we do have it is deeply unsettling to see them completely avoided by the people who should be upholding them the most. I was in school from 2005 – 2018, this wasn't even that long ago. All this information has been around, there internet existed for my entire education, yet even then a lot of it was pure misdirection. It's rough cause I was a kid obsessed with all things social studies, it was the only part of school I enjoyed, so knowing the misconceptions now make things even sadder. I wanted to be a teacher for a very long time, but I gave up on that cause I've heard it's completely futile and discouraged in this education system to teach anything other than what you've been given.

Fun fact: it is believed that the ninja’s attire misconception came from the suits the people would wear in shows in China to not be seen while they move things on set, which, you guessed it, was all black.

Wasnt just infant mortality rates that dropped the average, but child mortality rates in general. To make it to puberty was hard. Then, if you were female, you lived to the ripe old age of "died in childbirth", as maternal death rates were also very high.

Wrestling is Fake dude. I don't know how you got 467k subs unless you bought them or all your subscribers are total idiots but you just made Claims that you Fail to provide any real evidence for. Those people are Actors. Yes, the job requires some rough physicality but it's got sensationalism and the drama created by stomping on the mat which is designed to make a lot of noise compared to a Real wrestling mat you find at a university. They put on a show that's all they do.

In Japanese theatre, stagehands wore "ninja outfits," and there arose a cultural norm of regarding anyone wearing such outfits as invisible. This is where the idea of invisible assassins wearing that outfit came from.
