Cars were invented in 1885. Of course it will mess with your sense of time if you’re listing the wrong years.

Also, Abe Lincoln and Charles Darwin were born on the same day, yet led incredibly different lives. Si Robertson and Frank Abagnale were also born on the same day

Some more fun aviation facts to boggle your perception of time:
You may already know that hot air balloons were around far longer than heavier-than-air planes, but do you know how long? The first ever manned hot air balloon flight was in 1783 in Paris by the Montgolfier brothers. Benjamin Franklin was there to witness the occasion, and he gave a written account of the flight!
The first military use of hot air balloons was just 11 years later in 1794 by the French Aerostatic Corps for the French Revolutionary war, when balloons were used for aerial reconnaissance. Another major use of balloons in war was in none other than the American Civil War, where both the Union and Confederate armies used balloons for reconnaissance.
Use of manned aircraft for offensive purposes did not occur until WWI.

To your point on the Wright bros fliyng before cars… That would be mass-produced cars. Electric and gasoline vehicles predate the 1900s.

This one had me reeling for weeks.
The oldest carbon dating of Aztec ruins dates to around 1100 AD. That's the same time that Oxford University was founded. Beyond that, the First Crusade was also raging in the Mediterranean/Middle East.

Technically he didn’t witness the death of Abraham Lincoln. He witnessed the shooting of Lincoln. Abe wasn’t pronounced dead until the next morning in a house across the street from the theater.

Sandwiches predate history far. USA style sandwiches are unique and likely really are in 18th century. However grains and meat go far back
