    Can you imagine how hard the entire recovery dive crew must have partied after they successfully saved this guy? Their job was supposed to be a solemn body recovery mission. Then they saved someone! That was a once in a lifetime experience and they knew it.

    When you go through deep waters,
        I will be with you.
    When you go through rivers of difficulty,
        you will not drown.
    When you walk through the fire of oppression,
        you will not be burned up;
        the flames will not consume you.

    God bless those divers and idk why this video has hit me so hard but it has, the look on harrisons face broke me, I can't even pretend to imagine what that man went through emotionally and physically, what must that moment of felt like when he reached to hold that divers hand, I mean he was going to die without doubt I wonder if he was trying to hold on managing his breathing or was he wanting the nightmare to end the relief of drifting off, not being cold scared and alone in the dark knowing his friends were dead and the emotional pain of seeing his own death closing in on him, idk but that look on his face and the thought of his ordeal hit me hard, what a horrible raw situation those rescue divers are unbelievable hero's and as for Harrison Im sure that shit has probably changed him and if so I hope he can take it and make it positive, what a survivor a true legend I wish him a long and happy life, on dry land

    UPDATE:

    This man, who once swore to never return to the seas, is now a certified diver working on oil and gas rigs.

    1 year after his ordeal, another accident struck. He was driving to work with his friend, when his car went off a bridge into the water. Fortunately, he was able to swim out, only to realize that his friend was still in the passenger seat. He swam back and rescued his friend. Then to aid in the effort of pulling the car out of the water, he dove once yet again and put the ropes around his car.

    After the accident, Harrison told himself, "What are you afraid of? How can you be scared […] if you have come through this[…]?" He subsequently decided to face all of his fears once and for all, and enrolled and completed a 3 month long diving course.

    Not only did this man defy death twice, it came back to stare it back in its eyes. And death blinked first. He once almost had his life taken away at 30 meters underwater, now he is capable of diving down to 50 meters – thanks to the weight of his massive balls of steel

    He actually goes to his church in Nigeria shortly after, but ends up shunned by the members because they believe he used witchcraft to survive. 🤦

    Still a faithful man after, He would later become a rescue diver working for the same people who saved him.

    The moment we see him in the air pocket always makes me cry. His expression is a mix of absolute terror and excitement. Almost like he doesn’t know he’s still alive and he’s truly being rescued. Oh… my heart. It makes me want to physically guard over him forever so he’s never near so much as a swimming pool ever again lol. SO GLAD he’s vowed to never to return to the sea.
