Im with you bro. Aside from a song here and there this band just never did it for me much. Maybe its that it all seems pretty repetitive or its the Monster Energy Drink mascot vibe. I dunno but there's just way more interesting music this genre has to offer.

I was listening to The Great Southern Trendkill at work one time & a workmate told me I should check out Five Finger. Having heard some of their songs in this video I think I’ll just stick with Pantera.

I'm not a huge FFDP fan at all. There are maybe 1 or 2 songs off each album I like but that's about it.

Can't help but kinda make comparisons to Limp Bizkit when I listen to 5FDP. Both bands sound rock solid if you listen to just the instrumentals, but then the vocalist opens his mouth and mileage starts to vary. Thing is that Fred Durst's schtick as an insecure dork who's acting tough is intentional and dare I say charming as a character played up for the stage, whereas it doesn't come off as intentional when Ivan tries to sound like Pantera's Phil Anselmo on a gallon of steroids and instead sounds like he's trying to convince himself more than us.
As for Ivan's retirement announcement, dude has a history of lying on stage, so I'll believe it when I see it.

FFDP is my guilty pleasure. I love this band, especially when I’m pissed off and need some ranting. Only album of theirs I find weak is the Wrong Side of Heaven vol 2 – it has two good songs (one is a cover) – totally meh for me

I have not kept up with this band ever since Jason Hook left. Let's be honest if you really did listen to most of their stuff, you would know that he has some of the most amazing and catchy guitar solos ever. Occasionally when I'm feeling nostalgic I would go back and listen to only the instrumentals.

I don’t remember how I was but I was searching for some CD’s to ask my mom if I could purchase for my birthday. Anyways, I saw this band. Didn’t know anything bout them and saw this one review… claimed this was the 2nd Pantera and I’m like “whoa! Really???”
Went to YouTube. I remember out loud saying “what the fuck is this?” And got in trouble for cussing out loud.
