Elastica – Why Aren’t There More Pop Songs About Bad Sex?

Trash Theory | March 17, 2025

Songs about sex have always been a cornerstone of pop music, even if they weren’t always as explicit as they are now. Songs like ‘My Neck My Back’ were never going to fly in 1964. But the majority of songs about sex are all about the desire, the act, so what about when the desire is there but the act falls short? Elastica have a song for that: “Stutter”.
