You can be a great artist and a terrible person actually diddys not that great of an artist… Howard university refunded his million dollar donation so he can continue to pay Sting from jail… Good Lord, if they have to exhume Kim and biggie….

Even as someone who is aware of his fame emergence because of collaborating with .B.I.G., to me, part of the comedy is that this video is about cancelling this music which to me hasn’t been relevant since barely before the original iPod emerged.

I’ll open up here how I’ve kind of thought of times how Kanye was ‘Diddy’s ego part ~3’ in a (slightly less) coattail riding way (cough Jay-Z not .B.I.G. cough) though goodness knows he hasn’t really been cancelled “=_=

The day R. Kelly sold his music catalogue was truly the happiest day. Now the remix to ignition just supports nameless bank bros ruining the world from the shadows as you should.

haha this was just 2 weeks ago…how time flies…

MJ was innocent but he had bought too many music catalougs including Eminem's (1.5 years b4 he was killed ) ..the beatles. Some of the deals are still confidential 26 years after. He also wore a mask way b4 we did. There's a reason why he is the actual pandora box that no one wants to open.

It's not the headlines, it's because they are not given the same amount of airplay. Not everybody collects every CD or "cassette" back in the day…. or streams/downloads. We mostly get a chance to "sample" from the radio, that's where we hear it…. or Youtube suggests it….or it's in a movie soundtrack or commercial. We don't get to hear every potentially great artist very easily.

Can you cancel someone you just heard about and have no clue who they are or even what they are guilty of?

Why is it so hard to love the music but hate the person?

The better question is why anyone would struggle with this. His whole career should have been cancelled on the merits of his tragically bad music.

The artist is only separate from the art when they no longer profit from that art.
