Video info:
In this video I talk briefly about David Gilmour’s guitar style evolution and his role as a member in the band. How he mastered both the role as a supportive guitarist and a band leader. And took the band to new heights with a not so sophisticated, but highly impactful playing style.

Wow you really just skipped over Obscured by Cloud and Atom Heart.

If you actually listen to the albums you would notice that Gilmour became much for confident in his playing and contribution.

Those two albums have a more blues inspired sound as opposed to the more abstract Saucerful of Secrets

David Gilmour is SO good, that literally every note and every phrase he played, was the best possible outcome. His songs and playing were absolutely perfect. His guitar work on Dogs is exceptionally impressive to me

K, No offense, but Im guessing you are "young" and "foriegn"( foreign to music from floyd, as well as music from the US.). Some music just exists, and has ZERO basis in "rock music/ rules of western music" etc. Whenever someone tries to put them into a 'container' that suits them, they FAIL MISERABLY. Stop copying other folks interpretation of Floyd. (Or DG) specifically. Its just music holmes. Awesome stuff from DG. Floyd would have crashed and burned by 69/70 w/o him. And i used to HATE flyd w a passion. Today, I LOVE DG, HATE Waters. As most musicians should.
