As a conservative American myself, I would go farther and say that there are noticable differences between conservatives in different states (and not just Northern vs Southern conservatives).

I live in California. I tend towards libertarian views, as do my circle of conservative friends.

I have relatives in Arizona, where conservatives tend to be more populist and focus on preserving what they see as what makes their state great, so they emphasize border security, law enforcement, and anti-woke sentiments.

I also have relatives in Arkansas, deep in the Bible belt. Church plays a much bigger role in daily life there.

As a conservative. Danielle Smith is a strategic disaster. I would not identify as republican in the US. But as you said, that’s probably because the message of what it means to be conservative has been carefully controlled in Canada whereas in the US everyone gets to define what it means to them and it’s usually the crazy ones that get the microphone.

Many think there's no difference between the cons north and south of the border.

I don't see the difference between Mr. Trump and Mr. Trudeau.

Two leaders who took their respective House Speakers to court, Two leaders who caused grief for their respective capitals due to poor public comments, Two leaders who didn't do anything about the problems in their capital until it looked like it was getting out of control, Two leaders who failed to provide info to their respective authorities, , two leaders with a history of letting go many of their top people-Morneau, JWR, all those cabinet shuffles, the woman who wrote "Can You Hear Me Now"….

Our liberal gov. doubling down on "eight to ten Canadians are better off" is like Mr. Trump doubling down on the thought that I'm a grants are eating pets in Ohio.

    Name calling?

Trump and Trudeau are the ones who are similar.

I just found your channel, and like a lot of people I know way more about American then Canadian politics even though I live in Canada. It’s hard to get a grasp on Canadian politics because it’s not as broadcasted and as big of a deal made then in the US. The US campaigns start two years before and election and we don’t even have an election date yet for next year. I’m looking forward to having more breakdowns leading up to our election because I feel like I do tie Canadian PC’s to Republicans more then I should. We also don’t have the wedge issues the US does so it’s harder to know what parties really stand for? I also find with our current way of electing people I care more about who gets into my riding then I do PM, especially if you’re in more rural areas like northern Ontario who get rely on who is elected in our riding to bring our interests forward. Look forward to watching your back catalog!

Toronto is an Americanized city. The rest of Canada has very little influence by America. We are saturated by a lot of American businesses namely fast foods.

If you ever go to Winnipeg go to Salisbury House it was estabished by an American but it is considered a Canadian institution.

As an international student from the U.S. studying in Canada, I often don't feel like I'm in another country (pls don't come after me). Maybe it's because I'm from the northeastern part of the States, where people tend to be more Liberal, and, of course, various parts of the U.S. are very different from one another. But at least from my experience studying in Ottawa, Canada doesn't feel all that different.

Definitely not! It's pretty easy to understand the values of American conservatives. They hate LGBTQ "propoganda", they want women to be less "woke", they want their guns, they want to use non PC terms, they want illegal immigrants out, moreover they like peace and unity.

WTF else do Canadian conservatives hate besides Indian Immigrants?
