I love your dad’s level tolerance, and experience being a dad. So, technically you were 12 minutes late for being on time at 5 in the a.m., der guy. Dad’s plan worked. You were 18 minutes early for the boat captain; better than to miss departure. Gotta Keep ‘er movin’!

The ironic thing is that was probably his dad's first time on telling him early just as a test, and damn if the boy didn't pull through. Dad learned a lesson, son kept it movin.
