Rory Scovel’s Mount Everest of Grief
In this episode, Rory Scoville opens up about the profound impact of grief throughout his life, starting from the loss of his mother on his first birthday to the unexpected passing of his father in 2020. We dive into how these experiences shaped his perspective on family, his relationship with his father, and how vulnerability has become a new bedrock for his comedy.
Rory shares the “Mount Everest” of grief he faced over the last six years and how he’s finally learning to live as a person who has lost, rather than someone just trying to recover.

Hugely underrated stand up comedian. I’m not surprised he had such a tough life, funny usually comes from dark places.
