Mate, calling pop music the 'death of real music' in 2026 is just pure boomer energy. The World Cup is a global festival, not your local pub match. Nobody’s forcing you to watch a 15-minute halftime show—just go grab a beer, mute the TV, and stop yelling at clouds

It also says so much about this world cup that it recycles Shakira and vuvuzelas from a vastly better WC, and also uses the viking row that was specific to ONE team. I get it was a phenomenon, but it's still tacky to just take another team's celebration for your show.

Back in 1992, my girlfriend's dad was present at Arsenal when they attempted the Premier League's first half-time show with The Shamen. Thereafter, he referred to them as 'The Shameless' and turned the radio off if they happened to sully the airwaves in his presence.

Justin, you truly were on form – I believe in crisis, liking Justin because of his name, tone-deaf children (whilst we politely sat through it). Don’t know what you ate, the silliness and dry wit was top notch!
Anyhow you were rude in mentioning North Korea before South Korea..yes I’m a fan but I know you didn’t fully disrespect them. They did sing live. Just saw them several times in Europe including their last show in Paris before they did a hop and a skip to be at the half-time show. I think you were trying to mention when BTS covered ‘Fix you’? Glad you like My Universe, try their older tunes – start with the album Dark & Wild?
Madonna’s best tracks are Cherish & Dear Jessie.
Shakira’s other football song is La La La from Brazil 2014 and it’s a certified banger.
Everyone complained about Justin Bieber bringing down the mood.
As a fan of The World Cup, I agree no more half-time shows. As much as I like a lot of the artists, as a Brit, the World Cup should remain only about football

I’d lost the will to live by the time the tone deaf children started warbling, I was on my hands and knees trying to stick my tongue into the electric socket on the wall, but to be fair I watched every second that Shakira was on screen. Hubba Hubba, and if I may bee so bold, I’ll throw in an AWOOGA as well. 😜
