I knew this version of The Odyssey wasn't going to be good because of Matt Damon being Odyseus. I saw the 2 part 1997 version of The Odyssey starring Armand Assante as Odyseus and it was great. Each episode was 1hour 30 minutes (including commercials). It was considered a movie back then. If you take the commercials out, and put the 2 parts together, the whole thing was about 2 hours 15 minutes long. It was loved by critics. Too bad you can't see it and compare it to today's The Odyssey. Love you guys ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤

A movie should be 2 hours max. If a director wants something longer than 2 hours, they should make a miniseries instead.

Nolan is incapable of showing characters, meaning and emotion. He can write it on paper and knows what is worth presenting, but can only do the aesthetic side. He also has little appreciation for or understing about the actors and acting which is why he lowers their potential instead of boosting it.

I think every other summer there should be a vote for three directors to make the same movie using the same source material on the same budget – Robert Eggers probably would have done an amazing Odyssey. Imagine Del Toro vs Eggers vs Ang Lee 🤔

I made the mistake of watching this (with headphones) in a room with sleeping people. It was so hard to not laugh out loud!

I really enjoyed Chris and Matteo gaslighting Nick in this episode. Wasn't sad or exhausting at all. truly that's my least favorite part of these episodes, as much as I enjoy them sometimes
