Old 4chan’s Forgotten Horrors

4chan in it’s golden age was responsible for shaping a large amount of online horror culture, but not everything from that era made it out of the image board. Today we’re gonna examine some of these forgotten 4chan sagas.

11:16 The plan is to make some fire beats in FL Studio, sell them, and use the funds to hire a maid.

Edit: I just noticed the piss bottles in the back. So maybe the plan is to buy a toilet first, then hire maid.

17:23 I used to run a Star Wars: Jedi Academy Server, which was built on top of the Quake 3 Engine. When no one occupied the server long enough, the bots would
stop fighting and meet in the middle of the map with their weapons holstered. If you joined the server at that point, with your weapon holstered, they would continue to just stand there and chill, moving only to watch you. The second you unholstered your weapon though, they would hunt you down, and as soon as they killed you, they would go peaceful again until a player character walked over to them and unholstered a weapon.
It should also be noted that every NPC/Bot in the Single and Multiplayer campaign had a .cfg file, telling the gams engine how much health and force sensitivity they had, their default weapon, player height, Light or Dark side, which characters they were allies with and which ones they were enemies of. My guess is that Given enough rounds of fighting, the game will randoms land on a map where, the bots all happen to be neutral or allied towards each-other, at which point they all come together in the middle of the map and as long as none of them have their weapons drawn, the game map goes peaceful. If there is a kill limit set but not time limit, they will stay on that map for the rest of time, because if there's peace, the kill counter will never reach its limit and move to the next map.

Anybody else remember the /x/ post about using an Oblivion item glitch with the Wabbajack to create an NPC clone of themselves? I don't remember much other detail about it, but I'd love to read it again one day. I like stories like that, or the Unreal one, where it's not just ooooo spooky ghost in cartridge woooo

Boy and girl were driving. Boy suddenly pulls over and tells gurl to get out of the car. She is heartbroken, gets out crying. Boy then drives away. Years later she learns that he had hit a wall and died. He saw the wall coming and wanted to save girl life. She cried when she learned this. Like and reply if you are moved!

not sure if you will read this, but I was having a rough day, so I ended up watching many several of your videos, and I really appreciate them. I'm a xennial who really didn't spend much time on YT until 2021, so I loved going down all of these old internet rabbit holes. What a trip.

the Quake one, I guess he might simply have exaggerated when he said 4 years, it was probably just over 3 then… what jumped into my eye immediately is the oddly specific file size of the logs. 512MB.
I guess this was simply the maximum size the logs could have. so probably the logs were full and thus the bots could not perform any more action.
would at least be the first thing I'd look into for debugging.

All right, you win. This is my third or fourth video of yours I'm watching, and I'm obsessed. I love how you let the source material mostly speak for itself, and add your thoughts as applicable. I also enjoy how straightforward these are without much filler or pointless speculation.

Well done! I'm going to be stuck here for a while. 😂

The word "a" rhymes with "duh", not woth "day." Saying it like "day" isn't good enunciation, or professional, or authoritative. It's just "youtuber voice." It's what happens when people who aren't great at language arts try too hard to sound smart.
